I had a great experience with Readygrad throughout my internship journey. They helped me connect with a relevant internship opportunity, handled communication and agreements with the host company, and provided clear guidance on the program requirements and expectations. The team was supportive, responsive, and professional throughout the process, making the transition into my internship smooth and stress-free. Thanks to Readygrad, I was able to gain valuable hands-on experience in both DevOps and Cybersecurity, which has been a great step forward in my career. I would highly recommend Readygrad to students looking for practical industry experience and professional support.

Work experience in Australia. Live in New Zealand.

You don't need to move to Australia to build real experience with an Australian company. The Professional Internship Program gives you 12 weeks working alongside an Australian host organisation, gaining genuine professional experience in your field. This is a professional development program, not a paid role. You're investing twelve weeks to build the industry experience employers ask for, and coming out with something concrete to show for it.

A Real Australian
Host Company

Not a simulation or a case study. Twelve weeks contributing to a real organisation, in your field, with real deliverables.

A Dedicated
Industry Mentor

You're guided throughout by someone working in your field — the kind of professional relationship that's hard to build from the outside.

Experience Employers Actually Recognise

Australian industry experience on your CV, plus a credential that proves it — the two things graduates most often can't show.

No Visa. No Flights.
No Relocation.

Build experience with an Australian company without leaving New Zealand. No paperwork, no moving costs, no disruption to your life.

Only 2–3 Hours
Ahead

Australian business hours line up almost perfectly with yours. Real-time collaboration, no midnight meetings, no lag.

14 Self-Paced Online Modules

More than a placement. You'll get access to Readygrad's online learning modules covering employability, communication and workplace skills, yours to work through at your own pace.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to travel to Australia?

No — this program is entirely remote. You'll work from wherever you are in New Zealand, connecting with your host company online.

Will I be paid during the internship?

No. This is a structured vocational training placement, not paid employment; it's designed to give you genuine professional experience, not a salary.

What time zone will I be working in?

Australian business hours, which are typically only 2–3 hours ahead of New Zealand depending on the time of year — one of the easiest time zones in the world to collaborate remotely with.

What happens after I register my interest?
A Readygrad consultant will contact you to discuss your career goals, preferred discipline, availability and eligibility. If the program is suitable and you choose to enrol, we’ll guide you through career preparation and host-company interviews before arranging your 12-week remote internship.
Is there a refund policy?

Yes. We commit to securing a relevant internship interview for you within 12 weeks of starting your placement process. If we can't, you're entitled to a full refund of your program fee.

If you choose to withdraw for other reasons, refund eligibility depends on when you withdraw and which program services have already been delivered. Full details are set out in the enrolment terms provided before you join. Contact our team if you'd like to discuss your circumstances.
