Background

CA ANZ have historically managed this programme in-house and sought to outsource the program, reducing the internal resources required and providing a fast, more efficient selection and matching process.

The Achiever program is designed to help match hundreds of organisations with tertiary students across Australia and New Zealand who aspire to pursue accounting careers. In addition, the program provides penultimate and final-year accounting students with an opportunity to apply for valuable paid work experience with one of our participating employers.

The program's objective is to provide valuable opportunities for students in meaningful roles - while preparing students for success in both the recruitment process and the transition to the workplace.

In 2023, now in our third year (and fourth campaign) since implementing the new model, we have continued to refine and improve the experience for employers and students.

The approach

A competency-mapped recruitment process that uses contemporary tools, assessments and criteria.

      Captures personal information, education, skills and experiences with uploaded documents.
    • Psychometric Testing
      Online timed cognitive abilities testing including verbal, numerical and abstract reasoning.
    • Video Interview
      Recorded interview responses based on individual motivations, skills and experiences.
    • Personality Profile
      Insights into individual values and behaviours mapped to an agreed competency framework.
    • Match & Place
      Matched to employer and opportunity based on assessment and preferences.

In a true partnership model, Readygrad consulted with CA ANZ to understand the existing process and propose a new and updated selection model, which:

    • Replaced manual spreadsheets and moved platforms to a fully integrated platform.
    • Delivered psychometric testing and video interviews for candidate matching through an integrated solution.
