If you are thinking about doing an Internship program we are sure you’ll have some questions. From our experience of working with hundreds of internship students, we have compiled these Frequently Asked Questions. Our friendly team would also love to discuss your queries and help you to become another successful Readygrad graduate.
Using our expertise, having matched hundreds of students to the right internship placement to date, we will find the most suitable internship opportunity for you. You will be matched to a host company that best aligns with your training needs, level of relevant experience and professional goals.
The internship is unpaid. As this is a vocational placement you won’t be considered an employee. The internship is a training program in the best classroom you can get – the real working environment. Our role is to ensure that your internship is an equitable arrangement with the host company delivering meaningful learning outcomes and experience. As such, the provision of a proper internship program involves a significant investment in resources and time by the host company.
The total fee for an in-company Professional Internship Program is $3,500 ($2,500 for virtual internships) for Engineering (4 instalments of $875) and $2,500 ($1,500 for virtual internships) for other disciplines (2 instalments of $1,250, or 4 instalments of $625).
For the 2 instalment option fees are due at enrolment, then four weeks from the intake date. For the 4 instalment option fees are due at enrolment and then fortnightly payments after the intake date.
While we do not guarantee employment, many 11 in 3 of our outstanding students are offered employment with their host company following their internship. You can learn more about our students' experiences in our student testimonial section here.
Applications for the Professional Internship Program can be submitted any time, with intakes every fortnight throughout the entire year. You can allocate your preferred start date on your application/enrolment form.
If you find a job during the internship program you will still be liable for full payment of the course. To gain the full benefits of the Professional Internship Program, it is crucial that you focus on seeing the entire program through to completion.
